COREY OKADA AND LAUREEN LANDAU, WITH MARILYN KUKSHT AND LINDA NUNES – NOVEMBER 5 – DECEMBER 5, 2020.

Sacramento, CA: Archival Gallery will present Corey Okada and Laureen Landau with Marilyn Kuksht and Linda Nunes, on exhibition November 5 – December 5, 2020.

Corey Okada presents News From Home, solo works by Okada and collaborative pieces with the late Laureen Landau. From the artist: “The imagery I employ – the figure, still life objects, collage elements – is used in varying manners – literal, symbolic, referential. The intent is an immediate yet subtle visual vocabulary which exhibits an evocativeness – emotional, intellectual, and/or physical.

Showing with Corey Okada, sculpture by Marilyn Kuksht and encaustic works by Linda Nunes.

Kuksht is a Santa Cruz based sculptor who works primarily in steel and cast bronze. Her work ranges from pedestal pieces to large outdoor installations that have appeared in both public and private collections domestic and international.

Nunes is an award-winning artist and curator of the Sierra Wax Artists organization, with work in both public and private collections.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We do not anticipate a public Second Saturday reception for this exhibition. Visitors are welcome during normal business hours with no appointment needed, and must wear mask or face coverings at all times.
