FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DAVY FIVEASH, ERYLE SWANSON, SEAN ROYAL – SEPTEMBER 1-24, 2022

Sacramento, August 1, 2022 – Archival Gallery will present a three person exhibition featuring Davy Fiveash, Eryle Swanson, and Sean Royal, September 1-24, 2022. The Gallery will be open for a Second Saturday Public Reception on September 10 from 5-8PM.

Fiveash presents Sunday School, a series inspired by his early influences as a queer artist growing up as a fundamentalist preacher’s son. He explores the artistic, cultural, and sociological influences of art through allegories, gospel, craft, and fabric.

Swanson shares a new series of sculpture with his signature acrobatic rabbits and ballerinas. This collection also includes head studies which are based on the heads of animals placed in intriguing positions, allowing the viewer to focus solely on the shapes of ears and noses.

Royal completes this exhibition with three-dimensional sculptures on the Front Wall. These framed works emerge from the wall with a blend of painting, plastics and acrylics, collage, and found objects to tell unique stories of travels and adventures.
