SACRAMENTO SUPERHEROES – SEPTEMBER 5-28, 2019.

Sacramento, CA: Archival Gallery will present Sacramento Superheroes – a group show featuring works by the late Mel Ramos, and David Truman Tracy – on exhibition September 5-28, 2019. Additional artists include Robert Bowen, Carrie Cottini, GB Hettrick, and Corey Okada.

Join us for a Second Saturday reception on September 14 at 6PM featuring complimentary refreshments and an opportunity to meet the featured artists.

Sacramento Superheroes celebrates the spirit of well-known figures in movies and comics who transport us into a world where those with special powers are here to save the day. This exhibition features limited editions and original artwork by the late Mel Ramos, and LEGO*-based mural designs by David Truman Tracy whose work can be seen in the offices of Warner Brothers in Los Angeles and Google in San Francisco.

  • September: Sacramento Superheroes, a tribute to the late Mel Ramos featuring works by the artist, David Truman Tracy, Carrie Cottini, Robert Bowen, GB Hettrick, and Corey Okada
  • October: Arthur Sordillo Remembrance, a tribute show featuring works by the late Arthur Sordillo, with gallery proceeds benefiting the Artists in Crisis Fund. Also showing Sean Royal on the Front Wall.
  • November: New Works by Patricia Altschul, and sculpture by Gary Dinnen
  • December: Salon. A group show in the style of the Parisian Salon.

Archival Gallery is located at 3223 Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento and is open Tuesdays – Saturdays from 11AM-4PM, Thursdays and Fridays until 6PM, also by appointment and for special events.
