About the Artist
“I was born and raised in Yokohama, Japan. I have always enjoyed drawing and being creative but my initial encounter with pastels, right after I moved to Honolulu, Hawai’i, made all the difference. I took classes from an award winning artist, Mr. Wayne Takazono (waynetakazono.com) before moving to Folsom. I have been very fortunate to be able to continue my classes under Mr. Barry Jamison (pastelpainter.com) who is also an award winning Pastellist and under Margot Schulzke who is a PSWC Pastel Laureate, Signature member Pastel Society of America, Degas Pastel Society, Distinguished Pastelist (PSWC) and author.”
