SACRAMENTO, CA – January 4, 2019 Archival Gallery and the Royal Chicano Air Force present CORAZÓN, a group exhibition from February 1 – 28, 2019. Join us for a Second Saturday reception on February 9 at 6PM featuring live music, complimentary refreshments and an opportunity to meet the featured artists. The exhibition includes a wall-size installation of a heart that guests are encouraged to interact with.

The Royal Chicano Air Force (RCAF) is a Sacramento, California-based art collective, founded in 1970 by José Montoya and Esteban Villa. It was one of the “most important collective artist groups” in the Chicano art movement in California during the 1970s and the 1980s and continues to be influential into the 21st century. Featured artists include: Mara Brown, Melanie Cervantes, Rudy O. Cuellar, Perla Xilitla Cuellar-Pantoja, Daniel Galvez, Lorraine Garcia, Max Garcia, Louie “the Foot” Gonzalez, Craig Martinez, Stan Padilla, Antonio Rivera, and Enrique Ortiz Villegas.

Archival Gallery, in Sacramento since 1983, presents contemporary Northern California figurative works and fine art framing services. Managed by D. Oldham Neath, the gallery exhibit rotates monthly. Visit archivalgallery.com for more information.
