DAVY FIVEASH MURAL AT ARCHIVAL GALLERY.
Sacramento, CA: Archival Gallery celebrates public art by presenting a new mural by Davy Fiveash on the gallery building located at 3223 Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento. This mural is located behind the main entrance in the staff parking area, and joins the existing Wide Open Walls mural STING by Robert Bowen.
Join us for a public unveiling on Second Saturday – October 12 from 6-9PM.
“After painting over graffiti many times on a cement wall we look at every day, and seeing the city-wide response to our Robert Bowen mural, we decided that our wall needed a change. David’s lush floral paintings evoke a feeling of peace and tranquility – just the perfect image for a bustling art gallery and frame shop. We look forward to a little eternal spring in the upcoming winter!” – D. Oldham Neath, Gallery Director
“I am very glad to be able to contribute to public art in my city. I wanted to make a space that would brighten someone’s day.” – Davy Fiveash, artist
Upcoming Exhibitions at Archival Gallery:
- October: Arthur Sordillo Remembrance, a tribute show featuring the late Arthur Sordillo, and works by Sean Royal on the Front Wall.
Gallery proceeds from the sale of Arthur’s work will benefit the Artists in Crisis Fund. - November: New Works by Patricia Altschul, and sculpture by Gary Dinnen
- December: Salon, a full-gallery group show in the style of the Parisian Salon
