Full Circle by Gerald Barnes, and Stele by Mariellen Layne
SACRAMENTO, CA – January 11, 2018 – Archival Gallery is exhibiting works by Gerald Barnes – Full Circle, and Mariellen Layne – Stele. Exhibition runs February 2 through March 2. Join us for a Second Saturday reception on February 10 at 6PM.
Gerald Barnes presents a Full Circle connection to his figurative work from the 1980s in this synopsis of his art journey. Barnes’ collage work is presented on paper, board, and canvas, as well as a free-standing screen.
Mariellen Layne’s newest sculptural works, Stele, consist of upright mosaic slabs designed to serve as monuments or markers to the sun, the moon, the stars and other heavenly bodies. Inspired by the Eye of Providence, the message reads: “She approves our undertakings.”
Archival Gallery presents contemporary Northern California figurative works, and fine art framing services. Managed by D. Oldham Neath, the gallery exhibit rotates monthly. Visit archivalgallery.com for more information.
Archival Gallery is located at 3223 Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento, and is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and for special events.
