SACRAMENTO, CA – July 9, 2018 – Archival Gallery is exhibiting new works by Maureen Hood and MacAulay Brown. Exhibition runs August 8 – September 1. Join us for a Second Saturday reception on August 11 at 6PM featuring complimentary refreshments and an opportunity to meet the artists.
Maureen Hood presents More Women and Some Cowboys, a series of collage work in her signature style. Hood draws emotional strength from her own experience and her relationship with the natural environment. Her award-winning work has been exhibited throughout the state and is owned by private and corporate collectors nationwide. She shows regularly at Archival Gallery in Sacramento and Artize Gallery in Palm Springs.
MacAulay Brown presents In Between, artwork that examines the play between form and device (what versus how), and allows this interplay to inform the creative judgments made throughout the art process. Brown is an architect and artist originally from Sacramento and currently living in Los Angeles. Brown’s work has been seen in the KVIE Art Auction where he received both a Juror award and Curator award for his art.
Archival Gallery, in Sacramento since 1983, presents contemporary Northern California figurative works and fine art framing services. Managed by D. Oldham Neath, the gallery exhibit rotates monthly. Visit archivalgallery.com for more information.
