Robert Bowen’s STING – Wide Open Walls Mural – 2019.
Sacramento, CA: Archival Gallery will participate in the Wide Open Walls 2019 mural project by presenting “STING by Robert Bowen” on the gallery building located at 3223 Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento.
Join us for a public dedication event on August 10 from 5-7PM, with a Second Saturday reception following until 9PM.
Robert Bowen is an internationally collected Northern California artist who regularly shows in California, New York, Oregon, and in Paris and Japan.
“Throughout his body of work, Bowen takes familiar iconography and handily corkscrews it with his own unique brand of humor and distinct painting style. Bowen’s ability to re-appropriate contradictory symbols into unsettling situations puts him in league with greats like Ron English, and Andy Warhol.” – Stacey Ransom
Upcoming Exhibitions at Archival Gallery:
- August: Maureen Hood, From My Garden and More, with New Works by Linda Nunes.
- September: Sacramento Superheroes, featuring works by the late Mel Ramos, David Truman Tracy, Carrie Cottini, Robert Bowen, Corey Okada, and GB Hettrick
