MARIELLEN LAYNE AND MICHAEL HOFFEE – FEB 5 – 29, 2020.
Sacramento, CA: Archival Gallery will present “Trencadís” by Mariellen Layne and “Early Spring in the Valley” by Michael Hoffee – on exhibition February 5-29, 2020.
Layne presents Trencadís, also known as broken tile mosaics, with designs and scenes crafted from tile shards and broken chinaware. This centuries old art style embodies the recycled nature of the original materials.
Hoffee’s large-format floral scenes evoke memories of an Early Spring in the Valley, and are memories of his travels through Europe and beyond.
Join us for Sacramento’s Second Saturday on February 8 from 6-9PM for a complimentary arts reception.
