THE TOY SHOW – DECEMBER 10 – 30, 2020.
Sacramento, CA: Archival Gallery will present THE TOY SHOW, a year-end holiday group show on exhibition December 10-30, 2020. This experience includes Archival Gallery’s signature display of vintage light-up Santas in the front window.
Decembers at Archival Gallery are a special time when we ask each of our artists to create new works for the holidays in their primary medium of painting, sculpture, raku, fabrics, collage, glass, pastels, and more. The artists are free to interpret their vision of “toys” without boundaries.
In addition to the group exhibition, the Gallery displays our collection of vintage Santas in the front window for guests and drivers on Folsom Boulevard to enjoy. These light-up displays are a popular attraction for fans of holiday lights.
Featured December artists include Phyllis Cottrell, Shenny Cruces, Lindsey Dillon, Richard Feese, Lindsay Filby, Mason Gunn, Maureen Hood, Debra Kreck-Harnish, Kiny McCarrick, Leslie McCarron, Linda Nunes, Kellie Raines, Sean Royal, Victoria Smith, JC Strote, Maria Winkler, and more.
COVID-19 UPDATE: We do not anticipate a public Second Saturday reception for this exhibition. Visitors are welcome during normal business hours with no appointment needed, and must wear mask or face coverings at all times.
Approved Images for Press:
The gallery is still in the process of art-intake for this show due to delays caused by COVID-19 closures. Some images may not be available in high-resolution. Additional images from participating artists may be added or updated.
