FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gonzo, Hood and Thomas – April 29 – May 30, 2026
SACRAMENTO, April 1, 2026 – Archival Gallery will present a three-person exhibition with Raul Gonzo, Maureen Hood, and DL Thomas April 29 – May 30, 2026. The Gallery will hold a Second Saturday public reception on May 9 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“In May we’re playing with bold colours, detailed collage, and chaotic black and whites as we present Raul Gonzo, Maureen Hood, and DL Thomas. Gonzo’s photography series Color Madness is cinematic, satirical and surreal in its presentation of his micro-dramas. Hood’s work is well known in the region for her creative approach to mixed-media and collage, and this series called Balance is a study of the female form in still-life scenes. Thomas provides the balance for the show with At the least, a series of black and white paintings representing the chaotic times we have, and are, living through.”
In addition to the main displays, the Gallery also includes a rotating selection of art gifts and estate sale items in the Backroom, and a working artist studio featuring Davy Fiveash.
