SACRAMENTO, July 1, 2026 – Archival Gallery will present Sean Royal and Jim Marxen on exhibition July 29 through August 29, 2026. The Gallery will hold a Second Saturday public reception on August 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“This August we’re thrilled for the return of two popular artists at the Gallery, Sean Royal and Jim Marxen. Royal’s collection of Radical Botanical is a space where flowers, plants, animals, and human made objects get thrown into a blender, deconstructed, and rebuilt into new forms of 3D artwork. Marxen presents Moving in Three Directions, a series of surreal landscapes and still life that dive deep into fantasy worlds.”
The public is invited to visit the Gallery for a free public art reception on August 8 starting at 5 p.m., with complimentary refreshments, live music by Cactus Pete, and an opportunity to meet the featured artists.

The Gallery is located at 3223 Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento and is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for Second Saturday Public Receptions from 5-8 p.m.
