Al Farrow, Craig Frazier, and Drew Frazier have created works that share two things—ink and 30 plus-year friendships. Drew makes large abstract collages cut and assembled from earlier drawings using homemade iron gall and copper oxide inks. Energy, movement and intricate composition are signature to this series. Using gifted iron gall ink from Drew, Al has created a series of portraits with powerful singular brush strokes and gesture. A departure from his work as a sculpture—these pieces recall Al’s deft knowledge of anatomy and gifted hand. With fi ne-point Micron pens, Craig has created drawings of Al’s sculpture studio over an 8-year period. Each drawing celebrating Al’s devotion to material, tools, and job he loves.
