Due to the 2024 Gallery expansion we no longer provide picture framing services. Our frame shop equipment has been given to Adagio Custom Picture Framing at a new location in Sacramento.

The history of Archival Framing / Archival Gallery

We began as Archival Framing in 1983 as part of the Himovitz Gallery in Sacramento. Over many years of growth and expansion (and a name update), we became Sacramento’s longest running picture frame shop in 2023, with the most unique frames and mats around. Artists and Clients chose Archival Gallery for the best protection, preservation, and presentation of important documents, and decorative or fine artwork.

In 2024, Archival Gallery announced a major gallery expansion. The picture frame shop has been taken on by Athena Alber with a new name and location in Sacramento. Archival Gallery will no longer offer picture framing services on-site as we expand our galleries, gift shop, artist studios, and art resale/consignment business.
